CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer remained undefeated at home, topping the Providence Friars, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon. Xavier moved to 10-3-2 on the season and 3-2 in BIG EAST play, making it back-to-back 10-win seasons for the Musketeers.

Jenna Prathapa scored what would be the game-winner in the 38th minute, from Emily Burton after a corner kick from Carrie Lewis. Brooke Sroka added an insurance goal, again from Carrie Lewis, less that three minutes out of the halftime break to set the final score at 2-0 in favor of the Musketeers.

Xavier's defense, featuring Grace Bahr, Hayley Jakovich and Grace Brauer for the full 90 minutes, limited the Friars to just six shots, and only four on frame. Toni Bizzarro collected three saves for her sixth win and her fifth complete shutout of the season.

38' | XAVIER | On the corner kick from Carrie Lewis from the left side, Emily Burton got a touch on the ball on the right side of the box, getting it to Jenna Prathapa who shot low from straight on for the 1-0 lead.

48' | XAVIER | Shortly after halftime, Carrie Lewis served the ball into the box from the right side, finding Brooke Sroka who shot low for the 2-0 lead.

NOTABLE

Jenna Prathapa scored her second goal, and second game-winner, of the season in the 38th minute.
Brooke Sroka's insurance goal in the 48th minute was her third of the season, with all three coming in BIG EAST play.
Carrie Lewis picked up assists on both scores to bring her season total to seven assists.
Emily Burton picked up the assist on Prathapa's goal, her second of the season.
Xavier held a 22-6 advantage on shots overall, and a 10-4 advantage on shots on-frame.
The Musketeers also held the advantage on corner kicks created, leading the Friars 10-2.
Toni Bizzarro collected three saves in-frame to pick up her sixth win of the season and her fifth complete shutout.
Grace Bahr, Hayley Jakovich and Grace Brauer played the full 90 minutes for the Xavier defense, which picked up its eighth shutout of the season.
The win is the Musketeers' 10th of the season, marking the first back-to-back 10 win seasons since 2002 and 2003.
Xavier remained undefeated at home, moving to 5-0-1 at XU Soccer Complex.
