Toni Bizzarro Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After picking up her sixth win of the season on Sunday against Providence, senior goalkeeper Toni Bizzarro was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference offices announced on Monday.
Bizzarro earned the shutout victory over Providence on Sunday, making three saves to blank the Friars, 2-0. The win was Bizzaro's sixth in eight starts this season, and her fifth complete shutout. She also is credited with part of a sixth shutout after making the start in-frame during Xavier's 4-0 win over Northern Kentucky.
The win over Providence moved the Musketeers up to fourth place in the standings and was Xavier's eighth shutout of the season, the most in the BIG EAST.
It's Bizzarro's first weekly honor of the 2019 season.
