Samantha Erbach and Natalie Bain Named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans

Erbach earns a spot on third team, Bain becomes first three-time All-American in program history with fourth-team selection
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A pair of Musketeers were selected as United Soccer Coaches 2025 NCAA Division I Women's All-Americans, with sophomore Samantha Erbach earning a spot on the Third Team, while senior Natalie Bain was selected to the Fourth Team.
Samantha Erbach, a midfielder from Lebanon, Ohio, started in all 22 matches for the Musketeers this season, leading Xavier with 52 points on a team-high 18 goals, including three game-winners, and 16 assists, a number which led NCAA DI through the NCAA Championship Second Round. Erbach set a new single-season program for assists (16) while her 18 goals and 52 points rank second in program records, and are the most by a Musketeer since 1997. Erbach's 52 points continue to lead NCAA DI for the season headed into the 2025 Women's College Cup. Erbach's scoring helped Xavier's offense, which ranked among the best in the country throughout the season, set new records for goals (71), assists (68) assists and points (210).
This is Erbach's first selection as to a USC All-American team. Erbach, the 2025 BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and a First Team All-BIG EAST selection following the regular season, is one of five finalists for Top Drawer Soccer's Women's National Player of the Year honor, announced in late November, and was No. 12 on the publication's Midseason National Top 100 list.
Natalie Bain, a defender from Alexandria, Ky., started in 21 matches for the Musketeers this season, playing over 1,600 minutes to help the Musketeers defense to 12 shutout victories in matches in which she played. Offensively, she had a career-high 10 points on three goals and four assists in 2025. Bain was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for a second-straight season and earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors, marking the fourth time in her career she earned All-BIG EAST honors following the season.
Bain becomes the first Musketeer to earn USC All-American honors three times in her career, earning a spot on the Second Team in both 2023 and 2034.  The 2024 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Bain was selected as the league's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year ahead of the 2025 season. She was also the only collegiate player selected to attend the Provisional U-23 US Women's National Team Roster for the Domestic Training Camp that ran in late October.
Bain and Erbach's selections mark a second-straight season multiple Musketeers were named All-Americans by USC. Xavier has now had eight All-American selections with Erbach earning her first (Third Team - 2025) and Bain picking up her third (Second Team - 2023, Second Team - 2024, Fourth Team - 2025) joining Samantha Wiehe (Second Team - 2024), Molly McLaughlin (Third Team - 2022), Samantha Dewey (Third Team - 2019) and Amanda Gruber (Third Team - 1997).
Erbach and Bain were among the five Musketeers named to USC All-East Region earlier this week, both earning a spot on the First Team. Additionally, Elin Hansson was named to the All-East Region Second Team, while Regan Dancer and Emma Flick earned Third Team all-region honors.
Hansson is a forward from Halmstad, Sweden, who played in all 22 matches this season, starting in 20. She finished with 37 points on 16 goals and five assists, scoring a pair of game-winners. Hansson posted four multi-goal games, including three hat tricks, and ranked No. 11 in the country for total goals through the end of the second round of the NCAA Championship. Hansson also ranked No. 4 in NCAA DI for shot accuracy at 0.661 through the NCAA Second Round. She earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors following the season.
Dancer, a midfielder from South Lyon, Mich., started in all 22 matches for Xavier. She finished the season with a career-high 22 points on a career-high matching six goals, including the game-winner in the NCAA Championship First Round against Dayton, and a career-high 10 assists. Dancer's assist total ranked as 16th in NCAA DI while her point total was No. 103 through the NCAA Championship Second Round. She earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors following the season.
Flick, a midfielder from Streetsboro, Ohio, who started in 21 matches for the Musketeers. She finished the season with a career-high 22 points, on a career-best seven goals and eight assists. Among her goals were a team-high four game-winners, 44th most in NCAA DI. Flick ranked No. 52 in the nation for total assists and No. 103 for total points through the end of the NCAA Championship Second Round. She earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team following the season.
