Samantha Dewey Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After scoring the game winner in the opening minutes of Xavier's 3-0 win over St. John's, Samantha Dewey earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
In the eighth minute, Dewey scored from Sydney Schembri to put the Musketeers ahead, 1-0, in what would eventually be a 3-0 win over the Red Storm, moving Xavier into second place in the BIG EAST standings.
The goal was Dewey's 13th goal overall, adding to her league high total, and fourth of conference play. It was also her fourth game-winner of 2019, matching for league high.
This is Dewey's fifth nomination to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for 2019.
