Xavier Athletics Launches Gameday App
10.29.19 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Athletic Department
CINCINNATI – Xavier Athletics has partnered with From Now On to launch a new mobile app to enhance the game day experience of Musketeer fans. The free app, Xavier Musketeers Gameday, is available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
The new mobile app, utilizing the FanX™ Mobile Engagement Platform, will become a one-stop shop for fans and students alike, bringing schedules, tickets, live scores and stats, news alerts, interactive venue maps, merchandise, and promotional content directly to fans' devices. Additionally, the app will feature links to all social media feeds, radio live streams, and the ability to watch games that are streamed on GoXavier.com.
The app will also be home to the Musketeer Light Show, a new feature that brings songs to life through a customized light show using attendee's phones that is synchronized to the music in the men's basketball intro video. Powered by CUE Audio, fans will have the opportunity to light up Cintas Center during the intro video using their smartphones with CUE's inaudible triggers taking over, pulsing fans' smartphone flashlights and LED screens in sync to the beat of the intro music. CUE technology doesn't require cellular service, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to work, eliminating any connectivity issues. Be sure to download the app before Opening Night on Nov. 5 and be in your seats early to be a part of the show.
"I am so excited that this app is finally live and available to our fans," said Hannah Martin, Director for Marketing. "As a department, we are always looking for new ways to engage our fans and enhance their gameday experience, and this app definitely accomplishes both goals. Our fans are going to enjoy having everything from schedules to tickets to stats available at their fingertips and I cannot wait for Opening Night when we get to see the light show in action for the first time."
"While the stellar reputation for Xavier basketball is well-known here in Omaha, our team has been equally impressed with their passionate, talented staff," said Sue Thaden, CEO & Founder of From Now On. "It's easy to see how the growth of the Xavier brand in recent years has been driven by more than just the on-court product. We are thrilled to be partnering with them to add this new layer to the gameday experience for Musketeer fans at Cintas Center and beyond! Best of luck this season - #LetsGoX!"
