Xavier hit 16 three pointers on Saturday afternoon at Cintas Center
CINCINNATI - Jovan Milićević led four Musketeers in double figures on Saturday afternoon, scoring a career-high 23 points in Xavier's 96-88 win over Marquette at Cintas Center.
The Musketeers improved to 13-12 (5-9 BIG EAST), while the Golden Eagles dropped to 9-17 (4-11 BIG EAST).
Xavier returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 17 vs Villanova. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. from Cintas Center with the game being aired nationally on FS1.

- Xavier led for 38:35 in the contest and led by as many as 21 points (46-25) with 4:25 left in the first half. Marquette battled back to close within four points (87-83) with 2:08 left in regulation.
- Xavier outscored the Golden Eagles, 9-5, down the stretch to pull away for the eight-point win.
- Jovan Milićević scored a career-high 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting with five 3-pointers. The forward added five rebounds and one steal.
- All Wright added 19 points on 6-for-8 shooting. He added two assists, one rebound and one steal.
- Malik Messina-Moore finished with nine points, five rebounds and a career-high 11 assists. The guard added two steals.
- Tre Carroll had 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting. He added five rebounds and one steal.
- Filip Borovićanin posted his ninth double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. He added seven assists and one block.
- Xavier had 24 assists, the fourth most assists in a game this season. The Musketeers now have nine games with 20 or more assists.
- Xavier made 16 three pointers, matching the season high for the program (also the second most in a game all-time at Xavier). Xavier was 16-for-34 from behind the arc.
- The Musketeers posted a .463 field-goal percentage (31-for-67). Xavier was also 18-for-21 from the foul line.
- Xavier won the battle on the glass, 40-36, and scored two more second-chance points (16-14). The Musketeers also scored 10 more fastbreak points (21-11) and had five more bench points (12-7).
- Xavier held an 18-11 advantage in points off of turnovers. Marquette held a 56-24 advantage in points in the paint.
- The Golden Eagles finished with a .514 field-goal percentage (36-for-70) and went 8-for-25 from behind the arc. Marquette was also 8-for-11 from the foul line.
- Nigel James Jr. scored a game-high 30 points and dished out a game-high 12 assists. Royce Parham added 24 points and 10 rebounds.
