Shukow Finishes in Top 10 as Women's Golf Closes out Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Xavier women's golf closed out the final round of the Yale Intercollegiate and moved up two places to finish in seventh.

Andie Shukow recorded her second top-10 finish of the season after she carded an even-par final round. Her final round score moved her up five places into a tie for ninth place. Shukow has two rounds at par-or-better on the season with her even-par round.

Kayla Benge shot 76-76-74 to finish tied for 34th overall. Benge led XU in par-5 scoring at 4.67 (-3) and total birdies with nine over the weekend.

Amy Kucera finished the outing tied for 42nd individually. She carded an even-par back-nine holes and finished with a 76 final round score. Kucera shot 1-under par on par-5s at 4.89 and added 35 pars with four birdies.

Ke'Asha Phillips shot a 229 over the three-day outing and finished tied for 46th. Phillips recorded 30 pars and six birdies for the tournament.

Mikayla Fitzpatrick finished tied for 58th with a total of 231, respectively.

XU finished in seventh place with a three-day total of 898 (+46).

Charlotte won the tournament with a total of 11-over (863) and a final round of 4-under.
