Samson Sergi Named to All-BIG EAST First Team

The senior forward scored a BIG EAST leading 10 goals this season
NEW YORK - Senior Samson Sergi was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team on Monday afternoon. The forward scored a BIG EAST leading 10 goals this season.
Sergi and Georgetown's Jacob Montes were the only two players in the BIG EAST who were unanimous selections.
Sergi finished his career with 29 goals, ranking tied for fourth in program history. He earns All-BIG EAST honors for the second time in as many seasons as he collected second-team honors a year ago.
Teammates Matthew Rosenberg and Derrick Otim both earned All-BIG EAST Third Team honors.
Xavier has had 24 players earn All-BIG EAST honors since joining the conference (8 First Team Honorees, 7 Second Team Honorees, 2 Third Team Honorees, 7 All-Freshman Team Honorees). The Musketeers have also had two Goalkeepers of the Year and two Defensive Players of the Year.
Xavier has had at least one player on the league's first team during all eight years in the BIG EAST.
