CINCINNATI - Xavier indoor track and field opened the 2019-20 season with 14 top-10 finishes at the Mastodon Opener on Saturday, Dec. 7. The meet was hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne at Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.

"I was happy with the energy that our team brought to the meet on Saturday. Sometimes it can be challenging to get excited for a smaller meet early in the season but they did a great job and brought positive attitudes all around. I was also impressed by how well our freshmen ran. They handled the stress that comes along with running in your first college meet well and had some strong performances."
