Musketeers Set for BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships

• The BIG EAST is hosting a track and field championship at the SPIRE Institute for the third time. The 2016 and 2018 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships were also held at the SPIRE Institute.Â
• The Xavier women are led by sophomore Anna Kostarellis who ranks eighth in the BIG EAST in both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter runs. She set the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a fifth-place finish (9:33.43) at the Music City Challenge on Feb. 9. Senior Kara Robison also ranks seventh in the BIG EAST in the 60-meter dash. The hurdler holds the school record in the event and has earned All-BIG EAST honors twice.
• The Xavier men set the school record in the 4x400 meter relay at the Thundering Herd Invitational on Jan. 26. The team of William Roberts, Jacob Lough, Luke English and Justin Hatchett posted a time of 3:21.67.
• Chris Taylor ranks seventh in the BIG EAST this season in the 60-meter dash (7.05). William Roberts also ranks 10th in the 60-meter hurdles (8.72) and Jacob Lough ranks 10th in the 800-meter run (1:53.66).
