"The Music City Challenge was good to us! We met our one goal of running fast times before the BIG EAST Championships. All total we had one school record, five personal bests and 10 seasons bests with Anna Kostarellis stealing the show with her performance in the 3,000-meter run."
Â
"Anna's training has been going really well lately so we knew a breakthrough was coming soon and tonight was her night! Not only did she drop 20 seconds off her already fast personal best but she took 5th place in a stacked field. The race went out fast through the 1600 with Anna nearly in last place with a 5:02 split. Anna remained composed and moved her way up through the pack during the second half of the race. The last 400m was all Anna, she passed a large group of girls that had been ahead of her and held them off all the way to the line. Anna's time also set a new school record, one that was held by All-BIG EAST cross country runner Sarah Mazzei."
Â
"The group that went down really stepped up to the challenge of SEC competition and we walked out of the building a group of proud coaches."
