Women's Golf Heads to Utah for Lady Thunderbird Invitational

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Xavier women's golf gets back to the links at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational two days after winning a second straight tournament at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
XU has all nine golfers traveling to Lady Thunderbird Invitational and have four competing as individuals. The five team golfers for the Musketeers are Mikayla Fitzpatrick, Mikayla Smith, Lyndsey Hunnell, Andie Shukow, and Ke'Asha Phillips.
Xavier leads the BIG EAST in wins with 3 on the season so far and rank second in the conference.
Mikayla Fitzpatrick is still ranked number one in the conference with and average score of 73.45 and a 1.85 versus-par score. Lyndsey Hunnell is ranked fourth in conference with an average score of 74.71 and Mikayla Smith ranks seventh with her average of 75.10.
XU had five top-ten finishers in the Jackrabbit invitational and look to continue their strong play through the Lady Thunderbird tournament to end their spring break trip.
Wyoming won last year's Lady Thunderbird Invitational with a score of 598 (+22). The individual champion for the 36-hole outing was Sydney Bormann from South Dakota State, who carded even-par (144) through the tournament.

The Lady Thunderbird Invitational consists of 36 holes, 18 played each day. The teams will have a practice round on Wednesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. MT depending on the weather.

The tournament field consists of 14 teams: California Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Farleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, Montana, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, Weber State, and Xavier.
