Musketeers face Yellow Jackets at 5:00 PM
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer opens its spring exhibition schedule on Saturday, March 23 with a home match against Cedarville, set for 5:00 PM. The match with the Yellow Jackets is the first of four home matches this spring.
Following the match with Cedarville, the Musketeers will host UIndy on Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 PM, Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, April 13 at 3 PM and Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 PM.
Xavier is coming off a break-through season, where the Musketeers finished the season at 10-8-3, to finish the season with a .548 winning percentage, the first winning record for the Musketeers since 2013. Xavier's 10 wins in 2018 are the most for the program since 2003's 12-win season.
Xavier made its first BIG EAST Semifinal appearance since joining the conference in 2013, marking the first time the Musketeers have advanced in the postseason since 2003, when Xavier topped St. Joseph's, 2-0, in the Atlantic 10 tournament.
Xavier lost three seniors to graduation, but added a pair of transfers in Jenna Prathapa from Cleveland State and Gabrielle LoPresti from Cincinnati, who have enrolled at Xavier. A deep freshmen class will also join the roster for the fall 2019 season.
