"The goal was three school records and one NCAA mark. We got the three records but fell short in the two events I thought we had a strong chance at hitting a mark for NCAA's. Overall it was a successful weekend but we had a few athletes that didn't feel great. I think we're two or three weeks away from a breakthrough but we need meets like this to push us to faster times. From an exposure and competition standpoint this meet was perfect."
Â
"I was really happy with our women's 4x1500-meter relay team. They took third in a stacked field at a meet that highlights great relays. We definitely raced to win but taking third to Michigan State and Vanderbilt is still impressive. Â Anna ran a great leadoff leg to put us in second behind Vanderbilt at the exchange. Hannah went out really hard with the Vanderbilt second leg which hurt her end time a bit but she handed off in fourth. Courtney did a great job running most of her leg alone and got us back up into third where our anchor, Maya was able to hold. Both Maya and Anna were coming off the 5K from the night before which made it even more impressive."
