A'riana Gray Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - A'riana Gray was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her on-court performance last week. The sophomore forward averaged 15.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game in two contests last weekend.

Gray posted a .448 field-goal percentage (13-for-29), while adding four steals and one block. She scored 20 points and grabbed 21 rebounds on Friday night against Villanova, becoming the first Xavier player to post a 20-20 game since Ta'Shia Phillips on March 21, 2010. Gray added 10 points and eight rebounds against Georgetown on Sunday.

The Cleveland, Ohio, native now has 14 double-doubles to lead the BIG EAST and rank 23rd in the NCAA.

Gray leads the BIG EAST in rebounding (11.3), while ranking 13th in the NCAA. Her 329 rebounds rank 10th in the NCAA and fifth in single-season school history.

The Musketeers return to action on Saturday, March 9 in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament. No. 10 seed Xavier takes on No. 7 seed Providence at 4:30 p.m. CT from Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
