WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Xavier women's golf is closing out their schedule this weekend at the Lady Boilermaker before heading to the BIG EAST Conference tournament later this month.

The Musketeers bring a team of six for the weekend because of the play-six and count-four format of the tournament. Generally, XU brings five golfers and counts four scores.

Mikayla Fitzpatrick leads the BIG EAST in average score at 73.40 and versus-par at 1.84. Fitzpatrick added another top-five finish to her resume after finishing fifth at the Edisto Island Invitational, she now has five top-five finishes on the season.

Lyndsey Hunnell averages 74.41 over 22 rounds this season along with a versus-par of 2.91. Hunnell has three top-10 finishes this season and ranks third in the BIG EAST.

Mikayla Smith has an average score of 75.56 over 25 rounds this season. She has four top-10 finishes for the season so far.

Andie Shukow carded a career low round at Edisto Island with a 68 (-3) in the second round. Shukow enters the Lady Boilermaker averaging 76.47 over 19 rounds this season.

Morgan Tinsley and Abby Kiefer round out the lineup for XU. Tinsley has an average of 77.00 through her 23 rounds and Kiefer averages 79.54 over her 13 rounds this season.

FORMAT

The tournament will consist of 54 holes over two days with 36 holes being played on the first day depending on weather conditions.

Play will begin at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

There are six teams heading into the tournament: Purdue, Indiana, Northern Illinois, IUPUI, BIG EAST counterpart Butler, and Xavier.
