"The Lyles-Wood Invitational is a new meet on our schedule this year but I think it's exactly what we need two weeks before BIG EAST. Louisville has a great facility, it's close to our campus so we don't have to travel far as we're approaching finals and the competition looks great. We have three very different goals going into this meet. For a small group of athletes this week be their last chance to secure a spot going to BIG EAST, for others the goal will be to finish their season on a positive note and for a few others, the goal will be to hit an NCAA First Round mark. We try not to leave it to conference to hit those marks because a lot of the time the conference races are more tactical, so we'll be going for it on Saturday in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, the 400 hurdles and the men's 800."Â

• The Musketeers return to action at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 10-11 in New York City.Â
