Sam Czabala Earns a Spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After collecting a career-high six strikeouts in a save on Saturday at Villanova, senior Sam Czabala was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Czabala entered in the sixth inning against Villanova and pitched 4.0 innings of no-hit baseball as Xavier's pitchers combined to allow a season-low two hits in the Musketeers' 6-1 win over the Wildcats. Czabala had a career-best six strikeouts, allowing just one base runner as he picked up the save.
Czabala has a team-best 2.20 ERA in 32.2 innings of work in 16 appearances. The senior has only allowed eight earned runs on 20 hits with 26 strikeouts on the season.
