Conor Grammes Named to Final BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Following the final week of the regular season, Xavier junior Conor Grammes earned a fourth nomination to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season, the conference offices announced on Monday.
Grammes hit .429 (6-for-14) with an on-base percentage of .500 in four games last week, including a 2-1 series victory over crosstown rival Cincinnati. He collected a pair of multi-hit games against the Bearcats, going with three runs scored in Friday's 11-2 win, coming a home run shy of the cycle. In Sunday's 10-2 win over the Bearcats, Grammes went 2-of-3 at the plate, scoring three runs and collecting an RBI. He scored seven times for the week.
Grammes also started Friday's game on the mound, going 2.2 innings allowing one hit and one walk with one unearned run scoring. Â
