Musketeers Set for BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships

CINCINNATI - Xavier track and field travels to the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 10-11. The two-day meet is being held at Icahn Stadium in New York City.

• Jennifer Prial is coming off a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on April 27 at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational. She posted a personal-best time of 10:43.84, the seventh best mark in the BIG EAST this season.
• Maya Hannagan and Madeline Dingle both posted personal-best times in the 5,000-meter run at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational. Hannagan recorded a time of 17:28.10, while Dingle finished in a time of 17:44.50.
• Jenna Clayworth enters the conference championships ranked third in the BIG EAST in the 10,000-meter run (35:57.05). Her time also ranks 79th in the NCAA East Region.
• William Roberts will look to medal in the 400-meter hurdles. He currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in the event (53.64).
• Senior Kara Robinson will look to medal in both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles. The All-BIG EAST performer ranks fifth in the conference in both events this season.
• Xavier posted nine top-five finishes at the 2018 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Musketeers set three school records at the 2019 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships.Â
• The championships meet is being held at Icahn Stadium in New York City for the first time in conference history. The 5,000-set facility opened in 2005 and has hosted numerous meets including the IAAF Diamond League.
