CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Melanie Moore has announced the addition of Nia Clark to the 2019-20 roster. She joins Morgan Sharps and Courtney Prenger as newcomers for next season.
"Nia was an elite level athlete coming out of high school," said Moore. "She competed at a high level at Miami before suffering a season-ending injury. We are very excited that Nia chose the Xavier family and we are expecting major contributions from her right away."

Clark joins the Musketeers after spending her freshman season at Miami (Ohio). The guard appeared in nine games (six starts) during the 2018-19 season before suffering a season-ending injury.
Clark averaged 10.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the RedHawks. She scored a season-high 17 points at No. 5 Louisville on Nov. 26.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native was a two-time all-state selection at Ben Davis HS and was named to the Indiana All-Star team as a senior. She finished her high school career in the 1,000-point club.
