  Summary |
• After winning the first point of Set One, Xavier would go down by as much as 6 before inching their way back. After a 5-0 run, Xavier forced a Falcon timeout at 16-14. The timeout proved fruitful for Bowling Green, as they retook a commanding 20-15 lead and would claim the set 25-19.
• The Musketeers led early on in Set Two, but Bowling Green fought back to tie the score at 8-8. After briefly trading points, Xavier got out to a 17-11 advantage. Bowling Green responded with a 3-0 run, but Xavier countered with a 6-0 run to seemingly put Set Two out of reach. However, Bowling Green won seven straight points to get within two at 23-21. That was as close as they'd get, as Xavier shut the door to win the set 25-22.
• In Set Three, Bowling Green slowly picked up a couple of points every other rally, and built a 13-7 lead. Undiscouraged, Xavier stuck around and didn't let the set get away from them, but ultimately fell 21-25.
• It was a 3-0 start for Bowling Green in Set Four, but Xavier came back with four-straight points to take the lead. Later, the Falcons finished 5 kills and a block to go on a 6-0 run and lead 11-6. The momentum died in the middle ground as the margin was still five at 17-12. Then, Bowling Green broke out a 9-1 run and would clinch the set 25-13.
