Men's Golf Looks to Start Off Fall Season Strong at Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wis. - Xavier men's golf is kicking off their fall season on Sunday in Madison at the Badger Invitational on September 8-10.

The Musketeers bring back four of their top-five scorers for the 2019-20 season.

The Musketeers bring one senior back in Hunter Roberts. Roberts average score was 77.43 per round last season.

The lead-scoring returner for XU is Sophomore Trey Rath who averaged 75.00 per round during his freshman year.

Three returners played in all tournaments for Xavier last season: Junior Martin Jaramillo, Sophomore Nick Frey, and Sophomore Michael Prebles. Jaramillo was third on the team in scoring last season at 75.90. Frey will look to build on his freshman campaign where his average score was 76.50, which was good for fourth on the team. Prebles was fifth on XU in scoring at 76.70 and will look to continue his late spring success.

FORMAT

The Musketeers will play 54 holes in the tournament. There will be 18 holes played each day with a split tee start from the first and 10th holes.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

There are 16 teams participating in the Badger Invitational.
The line-up includes Abilene Christian, Coastal Carolina, Illinois State, Iowa State, Kansas, Miami (Oh.), Ole Miss, Nevada, NIU, Notre Dame, Rutgers, South Dakota State, UNCG, Wofford, Wisconsin and Xavier.
