Xavier Heads To Milwaukee To Take On Marquette In Wednesday BIG EAST Action

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 12-5 overall and 1-3 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the Marquette University Golden Eagles, 11-5 overall and 1-3 in the BIG EAST, on Wednesday night in Milwaukee. Xavier is looking to bounce back from Saturday's loss to Creighton, while Marquette is shooting to bounce back from a Saturday loss at Seton Hall.

• Xavier and Marquette will play each twice in four games. XU hosts MU on Jan. 29.
• Xavier and Marquette are both trying to snap two-game losing streaks, their longest of the season.
• Xavier junior Naji Marshall became the 54th member of Xavier's 1,000 Point Club during the Seton Hall game and is 53rd on XU's list at 1,024 points. Senior teammate Tyrique Jones (993) is just seven points shy of 1,000. Senior Quentin Goodin has 961 career points and junior Jason Carter is at 958, including 836 at Ohio.
• Xavier senior Quentin Goodin has 520 career assists, which is good for fourth place on Xavier's all-time assist chart. He is 30 assists shy of third-place Tu Holloway (550 from 2008-12).
• Xavier senior Tyrique Jones is nearly averaging a double-double with 13.5 ppg. (17th in the BIG EAST) and 9.8 rpg. (second in BIG EAST), bidding to become the first XU player to do that since 2002-03 National Player of the Year David West.
