Xavier Releases Non-Conference Men's Basketball Schedule

Musketeers host four-team Xavier Invitational to open the season.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University announced its 2020-21 non-conference men's basketball schedule today, including the season-opening Xavier Invitational on Nov. 25-27 at Cintas Center.
Xavier opens the 2020-21 slate with only the second-ever in-season tournament hosted by the Musketeers and its first-ever Xavier Invitational. XU, which hosted and won the 2003 BCA Classic at Cintas Center, hosted the first round of the preseason NIT in 1988 at Riverfront Coliseum and in 2002 at Cintas Center. XU hosted two games in the 2007 Chicago Challenge as well as non-bracketed opening round action in the 2019 Charleston Classic and the 2016 Tire Pros Invitational.
Xavier hosts Oakland from the Horizon League in the Xavier Invitational opener at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25. XU plays Bradley from the Missouri Valley Conference on Thanksgiving Day at noon and Toledo from the Mid-American Conference on Friday at noon. In the second game each day at approximately 3 p.m., Bradley faces Toledo on Wednesday, Oakland plays Toledo on Thursday and Oakland plays Bradley on Friday.
After the three-game holiday tournament, XU hosts Eastern Kentucky on Monday, Nov. 30 and Tennessee Tech on Wednesday, Dec. 2 before playing its only non-conference road game, the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at Cincinnati on Sunday, Dec. 6. The Musketeers close out the non-conference slate on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Cintas Center with a BIG EAST-Big 12 Challenge battle against Oklahoma.
The BIG EAST announced its December schedule earlier this week. The television schedule and tip times for all of the November and December action will be announced at a later date.
