John Parham Named Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services

CINCINNATI - Senior Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services Angela Wyss has named John G. Parham II as the assistant director of student-athlete academic support services at the Kevin and Georgette Crawford Student-Athlete Academic Center.
"The student-athlete academic support services office is thrilled to welcome J.P. Parham," said Wyss. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field and will do an excellent job relating to the student-athletes. It is evident that J.P. is mission centered and will be an asset to the department and the division."
Parham joins the Musketeers after working at the Cox Communications Academic Center at LSU from 2016-20 where he served as the academic advisor for the men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. He also served on various committees within athletics, the academic center and on campus.
Prior to LSU, he served as the athletics academic service assistant at Kentucky's Center for Academic and Tutorial Services from 2013-16. He worked primarily with the Wildcat football team, developing and implementing study plans for high-risk student-athletes in addition to coordinating student-athletes' daily tutorial services between team practices, meetings and travel times.
He has been an active part of the Research Committee within the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals, and is a 2016 graduate of the N4A Professional Development Institute. He also worked as an adjunct professor at Eastern Kentucky, teaching general education requirement courses within the exercise and sport science department until 2014.
Parham holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Louisville (2009) and master's degree in sport administration from Eastern Kentucky (2012).
