XU is looking for a fourth straight win to start the season.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 3-0, host the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels, 2-0, on Monday night at Cintas Center in the fourth game of Xavier's season-opening five-game homestand. The game will be broadcast on FS1 and 55KRC.
Xavier leads the series with Eastern Kentucky 13-5 and is going for its 10th straight win over EKU.

• Xavier senior Paul Scruggs was named MVP of the Xavier Invitational after averaging 13.0 ppg., 4.3 rpg. and 8.0 apg. for XU's three wins, including a career-high 10 assists vs. Oakland. He also earned a spot on this week's BIG EAST Honor Roll.
• Xavier's Paul Scruggs has scored 992 career points and is just eight points shy of becoming the 57th member of Xavier's 1,000 Point Club. Fellow senior Jason Carter has scored 1,070 collegiate points, including 836 at Ohio.
• Xavier sophomore Zach Freemantle was named to the Xavier Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging a team-high 16.3 ppg. and 7.7 rpg. for XU's three victories, including career highs for points (21) and rebounds (12) vs. Oakland.
• Xavier sophomore KyKy Tandy was named to the Xavier Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.3 ppg. and 3.7 apg. for XU's three wins, including a career-high 24 points vs. Toledo and a career-high six 3-pointers vs. Oakland.
• Xavier freshman Dwon Odom, who started the first three games, recorded a 7.00 assist-to-turnover ratio for XU's three wins to start the season. Odom hit what proved to be the game-winning shot vs. Bradley with less than four seconds left.
• Xavier senior Jason Carter, who leads the team in rebounding at 10.0 rpg., grabbed a Xavier career-high 13 rebounds in the Toledo win.
• Xavier is opening the 2020-21 season with 12 games in 29 days. Each of its first seven games are in Cincinnati, including six games at Cintas Center and the Dec. 6 Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at Cincinnati.
