Zach Freemantle Earns More BIG EAST Accolades

Freemantle earns a league honor for the second straight week.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier sophomore Zach Freemantle has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll, the second straight week that he has been honored by the league office. Freemantle earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors last week.
Freemantle scored a career-high 28 points, hitting 12-14 from the field including 4-6 3-pointers, in the win over Oklahoma on Dec. 9 in a BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle. He added five rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals.
In addition to the accolades from the BIG EAST, College Sports Madness announced today that it has named Freemantle as its BIG EAST Player of the Week.
Freemantle is fifth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 18.7 ppg.
Xavier, 7-0, is slated to open BIG EAST play on Sunday vs. Marquette.
