Women's Golf Looks for Repeat Performance at Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. - Xavier women's golf heads to Arizona for the 54-hole Rio Verde Invitational this weekend.
XU travels south for a 54-hole outing following its first spring match at the FAU Winter Warmup. The Musketeers took sixth place as a team while Mikayla Fitzpatrick finished tied for eighth. BIG EAST rival Seton Hall is also competing in the Rio Verde Invitational.
Fitzpatrick has collected two top-10 finishes so far this season. She ranks fifth in the BIG EAST with a average score of 74.93 and a versus-par of 3.13.
Andie Shukow ranks one place ahead of her teammate Fitzpatrick in the BIG EAST, ranking fourth with a average of 74.60.
Amy Kucera and Morgan Tinsley both rank in the top 15 in the conference. Kucera owns an average of 76.93 and 14th in the BIG EAST while Tinsley ranks 12th with an average of 76.92.
After her top-20 performance in the FAU Winter Warmup, Ke'Asha Phillips jumped into the team lineup. She carded a 225 (+9) in Boca Raton and looks to build on her strong performances this season.
The Musketeers won the Rio Verde Invitational in 2019 with a total of 591 (+23) and edged out conference rival Seton Hall by three strokes to claim the title. XU finished the outing with three individuals in the top 10: Lyndsey Hunnell (t-4), Mikayla Fitzpatrick (t-4), and Mikayla Smith (t-8).
