ORLANDO, Fla. - Xavier women's tennis fell to Penn, 5-1, on Wednesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The Musketeers fall to 5-9 on the season and will return to action on Sunday, March 22nd when they take on BIG EAST opponent Villanova.

THE MATCH

In doubles, Penn took the point after defeating Ahmeir Kyle and Kaitlin Ruether, 6-0, in the No. 1 spot, followed by Anna Roggenburk and Rachael Reichenbach, 7-6, in the No. 2 spot. The Musketeers picked up one victory in doubles play, coming from the efforts of Natalie Moyer and Lauren Fitz-Randolph in the No. 3 spot.

Kyle fell in the No. 1 singles spot after retiring while trailing 6-0, 4-0. Fitz-Randolph was defeated in the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 6-2, and Moyer fell in the No. 5 spot, 6-4, 6-3. Reichenbach fell in the No. 2 singles spot, 7-5, 6-2. Anna Roggenburk picked up Xavier's lone point of the match after a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the No. 2 spot. Kaitlin Ruether's matchup in the No. 4 spot remained unfinished at 3-6, 5-4.
