Transfer Sarah Owusu Joins Xavier Women's Soccer

Forward/midfielder joins Musketeers from Eastern Kentucky
CINCINNATI - Sarah Owusu joins the Xavier women's soccer program from Eastern Kentucky, head coach Nate Lie announced. The forward/midfielder comes to Xavier with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Owusu collected 22 points on nine goals and four assists during her career at EKU. As a redshirt sophomore last season, Owusu started in 16 matches of the 17 matches she appeared in for the Colonels, finishing with seven points on three goals and an assist.
In 2018, as a redshirt freshman, Owusu collected 12 points on five goals, including two game winners, and two assists. She appeared in 15 matches, including making 14 starts before her season ended due to injury. Despite her shortened season, she earned a spot on the OVC All-Newcomer Team.
During her freshman season in 2017, she appeared in six games, starting in five, scoring a goal and dishing out an assist before her season was cut short due to injury.
Originally from Brampton, Ontario, Owusu attended St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary Catholic School and played club with Brams United from 2004-15 and Toronto Blizzard from 2016-17. During her club experience she was a silver medalist at the 2017 Canada Games, and attended the U20 Canadian National Team Camp.
Owusu plans to major in Criminal Justice at Xavier. She is the daughter of Dorothy Pabi and has a sister, Nicole Pabi.
