Musketeers add grad transfer and a pair of incoming recruits
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's tennis announced three additions to the roster for the 2020-2021 season, graduate transfer Arnaud Restifo and a pair of incoming freshmen, Caden Kammerer and Pascal Mosberger.
Arnaud Restifo joins Xavier as a grad transfer after spending three seasons at San Diego State, collecting 34 singles wins during his time there. He started his Aztec career with an All-Mountain West Conference Singles season, going 14-23 overall. As a junior he posted a in 14-16 mark in singles and an 11-9 mark in doubles play. He finished last season's abbreviated season at 6-6 in singles play.
"When first getting to know Arnaud, the coaching staff knew that we found a grad transfer that could impact our team both on and off the court," said Eric West, Xavier associate head coach. "We saw the outstanding results he achieved at San Diego State, but it was his sense of leadership and determination that really drew us in while recruiting Arnaud. The coaching staff cannot wait to have him on campus and help close out his college tennis career."
Prior to SDSU, Restifo spent his freshman season at Oklahoma. He is originally from Nice, France.

Caden Kammerer is an incoming freshman coming to Xavier from Longmont, Colorado, and a graduate of California Connections Academy. Kammerer is a four-star recruit, as rated by TennisRecruiting.net, and was ranked as high as 111 in the site's rankings. During his prep career, Kammerer earned a Universal Tennis Rating of 11.6.
"We are thrilled that Caden chose Xavier University," said West. "Throughout Caden's recruiting process, we could tell that he is a gamer and a competitor. We believe that Caden's best tennis is yet to come and we are thrilled as coaches to work with him to bring out the best in his game. Like Arnaud and Pascal, Caden is an individual of high character and the guys enjoyed getting to meet Caden on his official visit."
Kammerer is the son of Ronald Blaise Kammerer, who played tennis at Denver University. He has two siblings Blaise and Hudson.

Pascal Mosberger is an incoming freshman coming to Xavier from Zurich, Switzerland. During his prep career in Switzerland, Mosberger ranked as high as 105 in the Swiss Men's National Rankings and 2,256 in the ITF Men's World Rankings with a highest Universal Tennis Rating of 11.95 so far in his career.
"A tall athlete and an aggressive baseliner, we believe Pascal is an immediate impact player on this roster," said West. "Not only is Pascal an excellent tennis player, but he is a true student-athlete with exceptional academic achievements. At the end of the day, Pascal is a hard worker and exceptional person to be around, we are thankful in his choice of Xavier to pursue his athletic and academic career."
Mosberger plans to study Actuarial Science at Xavier. He is the son of Hans-Ruedi and Susanne Mosberger and has one younger sibling, Michel.
