Men's Soccer 2020 Class Ranked No. 26 Nationally by College Soccer News

CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's soccer 2020 recruiting class ranked No. 26 nationally by College Soccer News. The Musketeers were one of three BIG EAST schools listed in the top-40 by the media outlet.

The Musketeers have eight newcomers, transfer Justus Kauppinen, and true freshmen Paul Bogarin, Parker Crowell, Jerome Jolly, Jansen Miller, Sondre Taklo, Cade Thomson and Matthew Trakszelis.

Andy Fleming is bringing in the pieces that should give the Musketeers the bump they need to rebound from a challenging roller coaster 2019 season in which they were 8-8-1 with a 3-6-0 mark in Big East play. The class, which consists of one transfer and seven freshmen, includes several somewhat under-the-radar prospects with a big upside. Redshirt junior midfielder Justus Kauppinen, whose resume includes playing time with Finland's National Team, transfers in from Virginia Tech. The class also includes freshman midfielders Paul Bogarin out of the Indiana Fire Academy, Parker Crowell out of Cincinnati United Premier and Jerome Jolly who played for Preston North End. The Musketeers bolstered their backline with the addition of highly regarded freshmen Jansen Miller out of the Saint Louis FC Academy, Matthew Trakszelis out of FC United Academy and Sondre Taklo who played for Aalesunds FK in Norway.
