Women's Soccer Picks Up 4-0 Shutout Win at Seton Hall

The Musketeers move to 12-1-1 overall and 5-1 in BIG EAST play
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -Â Â Xavier women's soccer's freshmen fueled a three-goal first half for the Musketeers on the way to a 4-0 win at Seton Hall to move to 12-1-1 overall and 5-1 in BIG EAST play.Â
Xavier took a 3-0 lead in the first half on goals from three freshman, Chloe Netzel, Shelby Sallee and Grace Menser. The Musketeers had a 12-0 advantage on shots and 3-0 advantage on corners in the first half.
Emma Marcus added another insurance goal about 15 minutes into the second half, and the Xavier defense held the Pirates scoreless, a fourth-straight shutout, to set the final score at 4-0.
Xavier remains on the road for its next match, traveling to Chicago on Thursday, October 14 to face DePaul, set for a 4:00 p.m ET start.
