CINCINNATI - Xavier men's golf concludes its fall season on Oct. 18-19 by hosting the Xavier Invitational. The two-day tournament is being held at Maketewah Country Club.

The tournament starts on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier recently placed ninth at the Mountaineer Invitational with a team score of 894 (+30). The two-day tournament was played at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.Va.

• Nick Frey finished tied for 39th to pace the Musketeers, posting a score of 221 (+4). He shot four-under-par (68) on the final day of the tournament, tying for the lowest round of golf in the final round.

NOTABLE

• Brian Arlinghaus was hired as the program's new head coach on June 18, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after serving as the head men's golf coach at Wright State from 2017-21. He was an assistant coach with the Raiders for two seasons (2015-17) before being promoted to head coach.

• Xavier travels to West Virginia twice this fall. The Musketeers open the fall season at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on Sept. 13-14, competing at the tournament for the first time since 2013. Xavier also travels to Bridgeport, W.Va., for the third straight season - competing at the Mountaineer Invitational on Oct. 4-5.

• The Musketeers travel to the Badger Invitational (Sept. 26-28) for the the fourth time since 2013. Xavier is competing at the Crusader Collegiate (Sept. 20-21) for the first time in program history.

• The Musketeers play host to the Xavier Invitational on Oct. 18-19, ending the fall season at Maketewah Country Club - the program's home course.
