NEW YORK CITY, NY - Xavier battled the Red Storm for three sets, but ultimately fell short of victory. St. John's won with a final score of 26-28, 20-25, 20-25.

The Musketeers are now 10-11 this season, and 5-5 in the BIG EAST. Seton Hall moves to 13-10 and 4-5 in conference.

NOTABLES

• MaryAnn O'Toole started off with a strong first set, notching 6.5 points on five kills, an ace, and a block. She finished with a team-high 10 kills and three blocks.

• Kelly Franxman notched nine kills on the evening at a .333 clip. Defensively, she had a team-high 11 digs to go with two blocks (one solo).

• Ellie Chaffee had a well-rounded performance, totaling five kills and five blocks (one solo).

• Carrigan O'Reilly had six kills and a .385 hit percentage to go along with 28 assists.

• Notably, O'Toole had 10 digs and DS Alyssa Overbeck had nine.
