Ella Rogers Knocks in Game-Winner Against St. John's

CINCINNATI - Ella Rogers' third goal as a Musketeer helped Xavier women's soccer pick up a 1-0 win over St. John's at Corcoran Field on Thursday evening. Xavier moves to 11-1-1 overall and 4-1 in BIG EAST play.
The Musketeers held an 11-2 advantage on shots and 5-0 advantage on shots in the first half but neither team found the back of the net to send it to halftime in a 0-0 draw.
Less than five minute after the break, Ella Rogers scored from Chloe Netzel to put the Musketeers in front with the eventual game-winner. SJU created five shots, including two on-goal and a corner kick in the second half but were unable to find the equalizer to give Xavier its third-straight shutout win.
Xavier goes on the road for its next match-up, a Sunday afternoon game at Seton Hall. First touch with the Pirates is set for 1:00 p.m.
