McLaughlin earns a spot on the second team, Jakovich earns a spot on the third team; Olivia Jenkins earns Academic All-Region
CINCINNATI - A pair of Musketeers earned a spot on 2021 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Teams for 2021. Midfielder Molly McLaughlin earned a spot on the Scholar All-America Second Team, while defender Hayley Jakovich earned Scholar All-America Third Team honors. Olivia Jenkins also received academic accolades, earning a spot on the Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team.

Molly McLaughlin, a senior from Granger, Ind., earned a 3.70 cumulative grade point average while working on a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies to earn Scholar All-America Second Team honors and All-North/Central Region First Team Honors. On the field, she played 1,664 minutes in the midfield for the Musketeers this season, helping Xavier to a school-record 16 regular season wins and 10 shutouts. McLaughlin finished with three goals on the season, a pair coming in BIG EAST play, with one game-winner, against Marquette.
Two of McLaughlin's goals came on penalty kicks, which she's 2-2 for on the season, tying for the best percentage in NCAA DI on PKs. McLaughlin was named to the USC All-East Region First Team and the All-BIG EAST First Team. She also earned All-BIG EAST Tournament Team honors.Â

Hayley Jakovich, a senior from Eureka, Mo., has a 3.77 GPA while studying Strategic Human Resource Management, earning Scholar All-America Third Team honors and All-North/Central Region Second Team honors. She played the full time on Xavier's backline in all 20 matches for the Musketeers this season, totaling 1,832 minutes to help Xavier to 16 wins and 10 shutouts this season. With Jakovich's help, Xavier's defense only allowed 11 goals on the season overall and just four in BIG EAST play. Xavier's overall GAA of .541 for the season ranks fifth in the nation.Â
Jakovich also had five points on the season, on one goal, the game-winner at Creighton, and three assists. Jakovich was named to the USC All-East Region Second Team and All-BIG EAST First Team following the season.

Olivia Jenkins, a senior from Plainfield, Ill., earned a 3.72 GPA in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Psychology, Chemistry, Applied Health Sciences to earn Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team honors. This season, Jenkins made the start in-goal in all 20 matches, collecting a record of 16-3-1 during the season a new school record single season wins for a goalkeeper.
Among those 16 wins are 10 shutouts, tied for seventh most in the country. Jenkins' GAA of 0.541 ranks sixth in the nation and is best mark for a single season in program history.
