Midfielder Jane Olcott Joins Women's Soccer Program

Olcott comes to Xavier after spending three seasons at Villanova
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's soccer head coach Nate Lie announced the addition of midfielder Jane Olcott to the roster as a mid-year transfer. Olcott, who comes to Xavier after spending three seasons with Villanova, joins the Musketeers in January.
Olcott, originally from Potomac, MD., made 39 starts and 46 appearances at Villanova, totaling over 3,300 minutes in three seasons for the Wildcats.
Last season, Olcott appeared in all 18 matches for Villanova, starting in 16. In over 1,300 minutes of action, she collected 10 shots, including three on frame. During the Spring 2021 season, Olcott appeared in eight matches, starting seven. She totaled over 600 minutes for the Wildcats, tallying three shots and two shots on goal. As a freshman in 2019, Olcott appeared in all 20 games, making 16 starts, including all nine BIG EAST matches. In over 1,400 minutes on action, Olcott took 15 shots, with six on frame, and dished out an assist on the game tying goal against Princeton.
Prior to her time at Villanova, she played 12 years of club soccer for Bethesda Soccer Club and played four years of varsity soccer at Winston Churchill High School. During her prep career, Olcott attended the U15 Girls' U.S. National Team Training Camp in Portland, Oregon, as well as the U.S. Club Soccer id2 Regional Training Camps in 2015 and 2016. She capped off her career at Winston Churchill by earning United Soccer Coaches All-American honors as well as First Team All-Region, All-State, and Washington Post All-Met as a senior.
Olcott is majoring in Marketing at Xavier. Her parents are Douglas and Jennifer, her father played soccer at Adelphi. She has two siblings, Molly and Kate. Molly played soccer at NYU.
