QUEENS, N.Y. - Zach Freemantle and Colby Jones each hit the 20-point mark, but Xavier fell to St. John's, 93-84, at Carnesecca Arena on Tuesday evening. The Musketeers move to 11-4 overall and 4-4 in BIG EAST play, while St. John's moved to 13-8 overall and 7-7 in BIG EAST action.
Freemantle's 22-point performance marks a second straight game where he led the Musketeers in scoring, leading four Musketeers in double figures for the night. Jones' 20 points were a new career high, topping his previous career high of 16 points.

FIRST HALF |
- St. John's jumped out to an early 9-4 lead before the Musketeers responded with a 10-0 run to take a 14-9 lead less than eight minutes into the game.
- The Red Storm retook the lead with a 15-3 run to take a seven point lead.
- Xavier pulled to within one, 36-35, in the final four minutes of the half, but SJU closed out the half on a 10-3 run to take a 46-38 lead into the break after leading by as many as 10 in the first half.
- Zach Freemantle led the Musketeers with 10 points in the first half.

SECOND HALF |
- St. John's maintained the multiple possession lead through out the first eight minutes of the second half, with Xavier getting as close as seven, before the Red Storm pushed it lead out to as many 13, 65-52, with 12 minutes to play.
- Seven straight points from Nate Johnson pulled the Musketeers within six, 65-59, with 10 minutes to play, the closest the game had been since the 2:34 mark of the first half when Xavier trailed by four.
- The Red Storm would push the lead back out to as many as 12 in the final 10 mintues, but the Musketeers would pull back within six, 90-84, in the final minute thanks in part to 11 points from Colby Jones in the final six minutes of action.
- SJU scored the final four points of the game to set the final score at 93-84.
- Jones led the Musketeers with 14 points after the break.

- Zach Freemantle led the Musketeers with 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting, following up a career-performances against UConn. Freemantle also grabbed 10 boards for a second-straight double-double, his fourth as a Musketeer.
- Colby Jones finished with 20 points, a new career-high, on 6-of-9 shooting, including going 3-of-5 from outside and 5-of-5 from the free throw line. His previous career-high of 16 was set against St. John's earlier this season.
- After an 11-point second half, Nate Johnson finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and a Xavier career-best six assists, matching for team-high on the night.
- Paul Scruggs finished with 14 points, six rebounds and a team-high matching six assists.
- St. John's held a 42-37 advantage on the boards, though the Musketeers held a 11-9 advantage on the offensive glass.
