Mackenzie Tucker's first collegiate goal is the game-winner
LOUISVILLE -Â Â Xavier women's soccer picked up its first win of the spring 2021 season, topping Bellarmine, 1-0, at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Musketeers created opportunities early, earning six corner kicks in the first half, including four in the first 20 minute of play. Freshman Mackenzie Tucker tallied the eventual game-winner just before the break, and the Xavier defense limited the Knights to just one look on-frame for the match to get the shutout.
The Musketeers move to 1-1 on the season, and are back in action on Thursday, February 25 with an exhibition against Ohio at XU Soccer Complex. The Musketeers then head back out on the road to face Tennessee on Sunday.
