CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf travels to the UAB Spring Invitational on March 15-16. The two-day tournament is being hosted by UAB at the Greystone Country Club in Birmingham, Ala.

Round one action gets underway on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET.

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier women's golf placed eighth at the UNF Collegiate on March 8-9. The Musketeers shot a 54-hole total of 919 (+55) to rank eighth in the team standings out of 17 teams. North Florida shot a 54-hole total of 878 (+14) to win the tournament.

• Freshman Emma McMyler placed tied for third to lead the Musketeers, posting a 54-hole score of 218 (+2).

NOTABLES

• Xavier had a successful 2019-20 season before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the campaign at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on March 11 in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The Musketeers had four top-10 team finishes, highlighted by winning the Redbird Invitational on Sept. 8-9.

• The Musketeers return seven upperclassmen, highlighted by graduate student Mikayla Fitzpatrick. The Phoenix, Ariz., native is a three-time All-BIG EAST performer and was named the 2019 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year. She also led the Musketeers to their first BIG EAST Title in 2019 and advanced to NCAA Championships as an individual qualifier.

• Amy Kucera was named Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) Co-Player of the Year in the fall of 2020. She shared the women's division honors with Bowling Green's Mallory Swartz.

• The Musketeers also return Andie Shukow and Morgan Tinsley who were in Xavier's top-five scorers at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships. Shukow placed tied for eighth, while Tinsley took 18th.

• Xavier also welcomes three newcomers to the roster this season in Emma McMyler, Erin Kim and Abby Whittington.
