Kelly Franxman matched her career high in kills with 17

OMAHA, Neb. - Xavier dropped a five-set match (17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 12-15) at Creighton on Saturday night at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Xavier dropped to 7-6 (3-2 BIG EAST), while the Bluejays improved to 9-3 (6-2 BIG EAST).

NOTABLES

• Kelly Franxman matched her career high in kills with 17. She added nine digs and two blocks.

• Norah Painter added 14 kills and a .334 hitting percentage. She has posted 10 or more kills in four matches this season. The outside hitter chipped in four digs and three blocks.

• Alyssa Overbeck led three Musketeers with 10 or more digs, recording 19 digs. Stevie Wolf added 12 digs.

• Carrigan O'Reilly recorded her seventh double-double of the year as the setter finished the match with 47 assists and 10 digs. She added five kills and three blocks.

• Xavier held a 10-7 advantage in aces, the Musketeers second match of the season with 10 or more aces. The Musketeers also held a 10-9 advantage in total team blocks. Xavier has six matches with 10 or more blocks this season.
