CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf travels to the UNF Collegiate on March 8-9. The two-day tournament is being hosted at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.

Round one action gets underway on Monday morning.

54 holes (36 on Day 1 with 8:30 shotgun start / 18 on Day 2 with 8:45 shotgun start) / Teams will be playing as a single group from same tee box in two pairings

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier placed ninth at the FAU Paradise Invitational on Feb. 9. The Musketeers shot a 54-hole total of 902 (+38) to rank ninth in the team standings out of 13 teams. Michigan State shot a 54-hole total of 858 to win the tournament.

• Freshman Emma McMyler was the highest finisher for Xavier, placing tied for 19th.

NOTABLES

• Xavier had a successful 2019-20 season before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the campaign at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on March 11 in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The Musketeers had four top-10 team finishes, highlighted by winning the Redbird Invitational on Sept. 8-9.

• The Musketeers return seven upperclassmen, highlighted by graduate student Mikayla Fitzpatrick. The Phoenix, Ariz., native is a three-time All-BIG EAST performer and was named the 2019 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year. She also led the Musketeers to their first BIG EAST Title in 2019 and advanced to NCAA Championships as an individual qualifier.

• Amy Kucera was named Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) Co-Player of the Year in the fall of 2020. She shared the women's division honors with Bowling Green's Mallory Swartz.

• The Musketeers also return Andie Shukow and Morgan Tinsley who were in Xavier's top-five scorers at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships. Shukow placed tied for eighth, while Tinsley took 18th.

• Xavier also welcomes three newcomers to the roster this season in Emma McMyler, Erin Kim and Abby Whittington.
