Musketeers Continue Fall Action at Golfweek Red Sky Classic

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf continues its fall schedule on Sept. 27-29 at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. The three-day tournament is being held at the Red Sky Ranch Golf Club (Fazio Course) in Wolcott, Colo.

• Xavier opened the fall season at the Wolverine Invitational on Sept. 13-14, finishing 12th out of 16 teams (912, +60).Â
• Kara Carter paced the Musketeers with a 26th-place finish, posting a score of 220 (+7). Emma McMyler finished tied for 29th with a score of 221 (+8).

• Head coach Breanna Jenco returns for her seventh season with the Musketeers. She earned BIG EAST Coach of the Year honors in the spring of 2021, picking up the accolades for the third time in her career.
• Xavier enters the season as the two-time defending BIG EAST Champions. The Musketeers won the the conference title on April 25, finishing 13 strokes ahead of Seton Hall in the team standings. Xavier also advanced to its second straight NCAA Regional.
• Xavier returns two letterwinners from its BIG EAST Championship team roster in Abby Kiefer and Emma McMyler. Both players tied for eighth at the conference championships.
• Emma McMyler was also named the BIG EAST Freshman and Player of the Year, becoming the first golfer to earn both awards in the same season since Notre Dame's Lindsey Weaver in 2013. She led all BIG EAST players in lowest scoring average (73.59), while ranking 113th nationally.
• Xavier also returns Kayla Benge, Erin Kim and Abby Whittington. Kim played two rounds at the NCAA Louisville Regional as a substitute (injury) for Abby Kiefer.
