MaryAnn O'Toole ties the tournament-high with 13 kills

CHICAGO, Ill. - Xavier completes a busy Friday at the Loyola Tournament with a 3-0 victory over Eastern Kentucky. This is the 8th-straight win the Musketeers have had over the Colonels, and 7th-straight in four sets or less.

Xavier improves to 3-2 on the season, with three-set triumphs over South Carolina State last weekend, and SIUE earlier today.

NOTABLES

• MaryAnn O'Toole tied a tournament-high 13 kills at a .345 clip. She also contributed 11 digs and two blocks defensively.

• After a 12-kill performance this afternoon, Kelly Franxman contributed another nine kills in the night cap with a hit percentage of .381.

• Moriah Hopkins and Delaney Hogan were also effective offensively, recording seven and five kills respectively.

• Ellie Chaffee was a force at the net, accumulating six blocks (two solo). She also added four kills on ten attacks.

• Interestingly, Carrigan O'Reilly had exactly 33 assists and seven digs for the second-straight game. Stevie Wolf had a match-high 12 digs, and Alyssa Overbeck had 10.
