Adam Kunkel Earns A Spot On The BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll

This is Kunkel's second time this season on the Honor Roll.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier senior Adam Kunkel earned a spot on the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for the second time this season after scoring with 25 points, one shy of his Xavier career high, on 8-12 shooting in the win at Butler on Friday. Kunkel also won the award on Nov. 22 after averaging 18.0 ppg in wins over Ohio State on Nov. 18 and Norfolk State on Nov. 21.
Xavier has now had a player honored in seven of the first eight weeks of the league awards and the awards have been spread among five different players. The first four weeks Xavier captured spots on the BIG EAST Honor Roll, including senior Nate Johnson twice (Nov. 29 and Dec. 6) and once each for senior Paul Scruggs (Nov. 15) and Kunkel. Sophomore Dwon Odom won BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 20 and and junior Jack Nunge won it the week before on Dec. 13.
No. 17 Xavier, 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the BIG EAST Conference, hosts No. 14 Villanova, 11-4 overall and 4-1 in the BIG EAST, on Wednesday at Cintas Center.
