CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 7-3, take a three-game winning streak into Tuesday night's game vs. the Southern University Jaguars, 4-5, at 7 p.m. at Cintas Center. This is Xavier's final non-conference test of the season.

Xavier opens BIG EAST Conference play on Friday at Georgetown.

• Xavier, 7-3, is coming off its third-straight win, 80-77 at Cincinnati on Saturday.
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is fourth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (.420). XU is first in the BIG EAST and sixth in the nation in overall field goal
percentage (.509). XU shot 32.2 percent and 45.1 percent, respectively, last season.
• Xavier graduate student Souley Boum has earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll each of the last two weeks. Boum led XU with 21 points at Cincinnati to go with six rebounds and three assists. Boum, who passed 2,000 collegiate points on Dec. 3, leads the team in scoring (fourth in BIG EAST at 17.0 ppg.) and is second in assists (3.9 apg.).
• Xavier junior Colby Jones, who was named Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team, leads XU in assists at 5.6 apg. (fourth in the BIG EAST) to go with 15.4 ppg., which ranks third on the team and 11th in the BIG EAST.
• Xavier graduate student Jack Nunge, who was named Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team, is second the team in scoring at 15.5 ppg. (10th in the BIG EAST) and rebounding at 7.1 rpg. (10th in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier's balanced scoring attack boasts five players in double figures in scoring (four in the top 25 in the BIG EAST): Souley Boum (17.0 ppg.), Jack Nunge (15.5 ppg.), Colby Jones (15.4 ppg.), Zach Freemantle (13.1 ppg.) and Adam Kunkel (10.8 ppg.).
• Xavier senior Zach Freemantle, who became the 58th member of XU's 1,000 Point Club on Nov. 30, leads the team in rebounding at 7.4 rpg. (ninth in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller, in his sixth season at the helm (also HC from 2004-09), is the fifth-winningest active Div. I head coach (by win percentage) among head coaches with at least 10 years. He is 429-159 (.730) in his 18th year overall.
