Xavier defeats Ohio for the first time since 1999

ATHENS, Ohio - Xavier volleyball defeats Ohio 3-1 (15-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17) for the first time since 1999.

The Musketeers improve to 21-11 (11-7 BIG EAST) and continue to the NIVC quarterfinals while Ohio ends their season at 20-12 (13-5 MAC).

With the victory, Xavier secures it's best record since 2013.

NOTABLES

• Carrigan O'Reilly had a stellar match with 41 assists, five kills, 11 digs, two block solos, and five block assists. The senior setter now has a career total of 3,358 assists with 1,144 just this season and earned her 31st career double-double.

• Brooklyn Cink earned a match high 13 kills along with 15 digs to accumulate her 10th Xavier career double-double.

• Delaney Hogan posted 10 kills with no errors on 17 total attempts to hit for .588 in the match. The junior middle blocker also contributed three block assists.

• Senior outside hitter Maryann O'Toole tallied 11 kills for the Musketeers following close behind the match leader. She hit for .333 across the four sets.

• Sophomore libero Lucia Corsaro had the team high of 16 digs in the match and posted the only service ace for the Musketeers.

• Graduate middle blocker Angel Robinson put up two block solos and three block assists against the Bobcats alongside her six kills.

• O'Reilly, Cink, Corsaro, and junior defensive specialist Stevie Wolf all posted double-digit digs in the match.
