CINCINNATI --- The No. 25 Xavier University Musketeers, 16-7 overall and 6-6 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the No. 24 University of Connecticut Huskies, 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the BIG EAST, on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Cintas Center. This is a rescheduled game that was originally slated for Dec. 28.
Xavier is coming off a 73-71 loss at Seton Hall on Wednesday, while UConn is coming off an 80-72 home win over Marquette on Tuesday.

• Xavier is ranked No. 25 in the Associated Press Poll, its ninth straight week in the AP Top 25. XU is 21st in the NCAA NET and 27th in KenPom. UConn is No. 24 in the AP Poll, 17th in the NET and 17th in KenPom.

• Xavier senior Paul Scruggs is now 18th on Xavier's all-time scoring list with 1,531 points and is coming off back-to-back 21-point games. Scruggs is eighth on Xavier's all-time assist leaders chart with 477.
• Xavier sophomore Colby Jones, who is fifth in the BIG EAST in rebounding (7.6 rpg.), is seventh in the BIG EAST in offensive rebounding (2.6 rpg.).
• Xavier freshman Cesare Edwards played his first nine minutes since Dec. 8 at Seton Hall, contributing eight points on 4-5 shooting from the field.
